The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned Israel's targeting of a school housing displaced persons in the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza Strip, which resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries.
The Jordanian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday evening that the targeting is a heinous crime that adds to the war crimes committed by Israel against the brotherly Palestinian people, a flagrant violation of international law and humanitarian principles and values, and a systematic persistence in the continued targeting of civilians and shelters for the displaced.
The official spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Sufyan Qudah, stressed the Kingdom's absolute rejection and condemnation of the continued Israeli crimes against civilians, which constitute a flagrant violation of the rules of international law, international humanitarian law, and the Geneva Convention for the Protection of Civilians in Time of War of 1949, stressing that Israel does not care about the international will calling for an end to the war and the unprecedented humanitarian disaster it is causing.
He stressed the need to ensure the protection of civilians and preserve vital facilities that provide basic services to our Palestinian brothers, humanitarian facilities, and shelters in accordance with international law.
The judges stressed the need for the international community, especially the Security Council, to assume its legal and moral responsibilities by obliging Israel to immediately stop its brutal aggression on the Gaza Strip, provide the necessary protection for the brotherly Palestinian people, hold accountable the perpetrators of crimes against them, and stop the ongoing Israeli violations of international law, international humanitarian law, and the decisions of the International Court of Justice.
